LAB X use the finest photographic printers
available operated by skilled technicians to produce the highest
quality prints. Lab X is fully colour managed and uses finely
crafted custom profiles to ensure that the most accurate colour reproduction possible.
Lab X has two photographic printers, a Fuji Frontier and a
Kodak Pegasus printer.
The Frontier prints from 6”x4”
up to 10”x 15” prints, the Pegasus up
to 20”x 32”.
Both Machines print on Kodak Endura
paper, gloss or lustre surface, the Pegasus has a third option
of a metallic surface.

Digital Direct
We accept files from most digital media or via FTP upload. Files are output as supplied, no adjustments are made. Files must be set up as specified to qualify for direct digital rates.
For accurate results it is recommended using a monitor calibrated to ICC standards using a hardware device designed to do so. For more information see our colour management page.
Reprints
LAB X offers two types of reprints.
1. LAB X custom reprints
All film types, digital media and FTP uploads. The LAB X
technicians do fine adjustments for contrast, density, saturation,
and colour balance to produce the best possible print. Included
are specific cropping and colour matching requirements.
It is recommended that files be saved to disk for future
re-use.
2. LAB X standard reprints
All film types, digital media and FTP uploads. The LAB X
technicians carefully adjust images to produce economical
prints of a high quality.
Giclee Prints
Printed on the Epson 9600 printer for fine art Giclee prints
from film or file. We use a range of materials including canvas, textured or smooth fine art papers and photo quality papers. The inks are archival
quality with ratings from 60 to 200 years depending on display
and storage conditions. Size is up to 44" wide and unlimited
lengths. The prints offer unparalleled output quality with
the highest resolution at 2880dpi. The print quality is unbeatable
with the widest colour gamut available. This printer excels
when strong colours are required that fall outside the range
of photographic printers.

Prints from prints
Lab X will scan and print from existing images. The images
can be saved to CD for future reprints.
