Making Time - Michael Napoli

MARKING TIME represents those moments in our lives when one event ends and a new chapter begins.
I photograph familiar locations, the suburbs we inhabit, and the parks and places we visit. An urban landscape that informs and shapes our point of view, and reveals the constant change we all face in our lives.
Several photographs were taken almost twenty years ago, while others are less than a year old. By juxtaposing these images I am reflecting on the passage of time, and freezing those brief moments, which haunt and inspire my life, with vivid colours evoking the lurking narrative within each scene.
My images record a moment that has become a memory, and now, a part of our collective history.
